    How to adopt

If you are interested in adopting, simply send an email from our contact page or text 775-742-4554 to confirm what is still available.  This website is updated weekly, not daily.

    How to surrender

Now that the Nevada State Vet had lifted the poultry and cattle exhibition ban we will be accepting surrenders at our monthly swaps held on the third Saturday March through September 9-1 at the CAL Ranch Store on Kietzke Ln, Reno.  Please see the Swap page for specific fee information.

    FAQ

NNPFA makes every attempt to evaluate for health and behavior issues prior to making any surrendered poultry, or other farm animal, available for adoption.  Adoptable animals are held for approximately 14 days to allow an opportunity for them to find homes.  The majority of these animals are considered consumable livestock and as such we cannot guarantee that they will be placed in a pet or home flock environment. We are not a sanctuary, but we may be able to refer you to one if necessary.

    Foster members

NNPFA currently has three foster locations in the Reno/Sparks area that take in owner surrenders or rescues from Animal Services.
